Road Trip OnStar FMV Giveaway

Ever wonder how our parents did not get lost on road trips? Without cell phones and navigation it seems perhaps some of those long drives or off the path stops were not adventures but an attempt to find our way to our destination lol. My sister and I drove one summer from Sacramento to Seattle in her purple Kia and had a blast. Thankfully it was simple to get there but we did have trouble late one night finding a gas station. This was before google maps and cell phones being easy to use so we did wonder a bit off strange roads looking for one. But no more of that! This summer Sam and her family will be making the reverse trip, this time from Seattle to Sacramento. With a navigation system they will have no problem finding a gas station, a hotel and their way to my house. They already have a navigation system so we have decide to offer our readers the chance to win one for their vehicle.

The OnStar For My Vehicle Mirror FMV has built in connectivity and GPS technologies, OnStar FMV gives you all the safety and security of OnStar including a direct link to Live Advisors and the ability to detect and send help to your exact location in the event of an accident.

Key features:
·         Automatic Crash Response. An accelerometer built into OnStar the mirror detects the sudden shock of an impact from the front, side, or rear of the vehicle and automatically calls an OnStar advisor. If the driver doesn’t respond, or responds to say there has been a crash, an OnStar advisor will direct emergency responders to the exact GPS location of the vehicle.
·         Link to Emergency Services. By pressing OnStar’s red emergency button, drivers are immediately connected to a specially trained emergency advisor for assistance in situations occurring inside or outside of their vehicle.
·         Stolen Vehicle Location Assistance. If the vehicle is reported stolen to local law enforcement, OnStar subscribers can call 1-888-4-OnStar (1-888-466-7827) from any phone. OnStar advisors, available 24/7, can attempt to locate the vehicle through the mirror’s internal GPS and provide the location to law enforcement.
·         Turn-by-Turn Navigation. With OnStar’s most popular service, drivers can press OnStar’s blue button and ask OnStar advisors for directions to a specific location or ask the advisor to find a point of interest such as a gas station or nearby restaurant.

Creating Memories and Saving Money Equestrian Clearance

As a kid we lived in Southern CA I was lucky enough to have a wonderful year that my sister and I took horse back riding lessons. I was one of those kids that if I had my own pony I would be over the moon happy. Where I would put this pony and how I would take care of it were the last things on my mind.

I loved showing up for lessons. Not only did we get to learn how to ride them we also were taught how to care for them. We were able to brush them, clean their hoofs, put on and take off all the gear and learned how to behave around them. Its an experience I will never forget. It was amazing.

So even if you dont own a horse you or your children can experience horse back riding through lessons. The main thing you need to have for horse back riding is a good pair of riding boots. Like with any sport your shoes make a big difference in the experience. I remember mine, they were so cool to me long after we stopped taking lessons. Horseback riding can be a pricey hobby to have saving money is crucial. Places like Equestrian Clearance online store can offer the lower price that is needed to enjoy horseback riding and ownership. Equestrian Clearance Riding Boots are reasonably priced for Kids, Women and Men.

Another part of the Equestrian Horse Riding experience is the gear. Its like with having a dog and getting them blankets or outfits.GFS Rugs are a horse blanket that will keep the horse dry after exercising and great for travel. When I was taking lessons when we were done we would help take off all the gear, brush the horse down and then put the blanket on the horse. It was great to be a part of such a wonderful activity.

They even carry Dog Blankets. My black lab would look dashing in the blue on they carry. They also have dog bowls, dog beds, leads collars and more at low prices.

Family Summer Fun with Dinner and a Movie Night

I love spending time with my family. My grandsons are always up for some fun time with me, so I try to plan things they will enjoy doing.

I thought that Dinner and a A Movie Night would be perfect for an evening of Summer Fun. I went to Walmart to shop for things that the boys would enjoy eating. Their favorites of course, are pizza and ice cream, so that made my shopping trip super easy.

We all love eating Nestle drumsticks in my family, so they were an easy choice for dessert. The hardest part was picking out what kind to buy!

My items from Walmart for my #GrabSummerFun Party

Tombstone Pizza is a family favorite so I got a few of them for dinner. I also grabbed some chips and dip, fun paper plates, and 4th of July pinwheels for the boys. I love Dinner and A Movie Night, and it's so easy too.

I have been enjoying finding fun projects on Pinterest. Summer projects help keep my 5 year-old grandson active while school is out. I found this super easy painting project that I knew the boys would love doing.

The American flag, just in time for the 4th of July! His Mom, my daughter, just loved this, and I was very happy that we had decided to do this project.

My littlest grandson was still working on his and needed help. He looks clean here but by the time he was finished, he was covered in paint and we had to change his shirt. I really love Pinterest for all it's inspiration and great ideas. We found the hand print flag craft idea on Pinterest from SheKnows.com.

I had wanted to have dinner and our painting project out on the deck this evening but it was raining hard.
We didn't let that stop us from having fun, and my grandsons loved their Tombstone pizza!

Yes, we love our Nestle Ice Cream! After our pizza, it was time for dessert and the movie. The boys love these mini drumsticks because they are the perfect size for little fingers to hold them.

Our movie choice was "Alvin and The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked". I loved Alvin and The Chipmunks when I was a kid, and it's nice to see they are still here. Cute movie too.

As we were watching our movie, we just had to have one more Nestle drumstick!

Our Dinner and A Movie Night was a lot of fun for us, and a great way to spend a rainy, summer evening.
I look forward to doing this again soon. #GrabSummerFun

What does a Squirrel Say?

My son loves animals. All of them, even the ones that scare me such as snakes and lizards. He always asks me what does ......... say? Like a cow says moo, a sheep says baaa, a duck says quack, its always what do they say and not what noise do they make. Since obviously they must be talking to him right?!?

The little Dr. Dolittle I have can spot an animal anywhere even though he wont seem to see his book or juice right next to him since he tells me Mommy you get it. He makes me laugh on a daily basis! But what we cant seem to figure out is what does a Squirrel say?? This afternoon a spunky little squirrel was perched in our front tree making wild noises at us. A squeak and growl like sound that I have not heard before. I was a bit alarmed that we may have been in "his" territory. We were looking at the fruit on our front tree and I think its his daily snack. He got so loud I went back inside! Yes I know hes a tiny squirrel but I did not want to get leaped on for taking his fruit.

With all his bobbing and tail flipping I still could not pick one sound I could replicate to tell my son what a Squirrel says.

Do you know what a Squirrel says? :)

I almost did not see the little squirrel in the tree until it started making noises. Can you see him?
