Classico Elevate Pizza Night and Giveaway #sponsored

We enjoy family pizza night at our house several times a month. It is a fun way to have dinner and gather as a family. We go back and forth from ordering pizza to making our own pizza from home. When we make it from home my son has fun helping add the toppings. This time for family pizza night we wanted to elevate the flavor so we tried Classico Fire Roasted Pizza Sauce. My mother in law cannot have tomato sauce so I am saving the Classico White Pizza Sauce for when she comes over later in the week.

Shrek The Musical Review #sponsored

When I heard that Shrek was going to be turned into a musical I was elated. I love anything that involves a live performance and a classic movie like Shrek is a great way to keep the story alive. Here is a bit about Shrek The Musical:

Shrek The Musical tells the story of a swamp-dwelling ogre who goes on a life-changing adventure to reclaim the deed to his land. Joined by a wise-cracking donkey, this unlikely hero fights a fearsome dragon, rescues a feisty princess and learns that real friendship and true love aren’t only found in fairy tales. The musical is based on the story and characters from William Steig's book Shrek!, as well as the DreamWorks Animation film and features a book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize® winner, David Lindsay-Abaire, music by Olivier Award-winner Jeanine Tesori, and is directed by Tony Award® nominee Jason Moore. Shrek The Musical is produced by DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, Ltd.

DIY Activity Dice for Kids!

As the days get darker and rainier here in Washington we tend to spend more time inside the house, and the feelings of being cooped up start to set in. I am always on the hunt for frugal and DIY ways to keep ourselves active and entertained, these Activity Dice we made are a fantastic way to get them moving!

Very few supplies are needed. 1-2 "square like" boxes, wrapping paper of some kind, several colors of construction paper, a marker, scissors and tape.

Western Chief Rain Gear for Halloween Fun and Giveaway #sponsored

My son has been talking non stop about Superman for the last few months. When he saw the Western Chief Superman Boots and Raincoat at Nordstrom he said he NEEDS it. It is funny and sad to see him be into super heroes. He no longer wants Thomas the Train stuff like he did last year, he says he is a kid not a baby. So my kid wants super hero everything, it is cute just makes me realize he is growing up and getting his own opinion on what he wears lol.

Pumpkin Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies are one of my favorites, so warm and so good. Naturally when fall comes around and the fact that adding pumpkin to everything seems appropriate, of coarse these babies were going to be made. Pure pumpkin perfection. A simple recipe, but so good.

Walmart Family Mobile Unlimited Plans 6 Months of Saving Means More Fun #shop

Being the person in my home that earns the income for all of us I have learned to take saving money much more seriously. I now realize that every dollar adds up. When it is something like a monthly bill the savings over a year can be amazing if you can find a lower price. We are now in the sixth month of having our Cheap Wireless Plan from the Walmart Family Mobile.

We have been able to save the money we are not spending on a more expensive plan to do fun activities. For our wedding anniversary we were able to afford to a night filled with fun for our whole family. Normally we find reasons that we cannot afford a night out but when you are saving money in one area it feels great to be able to splurge a little for a special occasion.

DIAMOND CANDLES Review and Giveaway #sponsored

There is just something so calming and relaxing about burning a candle, I can't help but like them. I also like diamonds and rings, like most women, both are always on my gift list. Like them so much you wish they would come together? Well now you can get them all in one, that is exactly what they do at Diamond Candles .

My first thought was this was an interesting idea, never would have thought to put the two together, literally. But that is exactly what they do, each Diamond Candle has a ring in it valued at either $10, $100, $1000 or $5000! As soon as my candle came in the mail I couldn't wait to start burning it, and see exactly what ring would be mine. I will admit, the anticipation was so much fun I almost didn't want it to end! I was pretty patient though, only having to dig a tiny bit to get my ring out. Being patient is hard sometimes ;)

Recipe For Pumpkin Dog Treats

With all the delicious ways we are enjoying pumpkin this month, I thought our dog Chewie would love a pumpkin treat, too.

I love making him treats, and look for recipes that are quick and easy. These smell great, and make about eighteen biscuits, depending on how large a cookie cutter you use.

If your dog is like Chewie, he will adore these, and think you are fabulous for making them.

The Barefoot Contessa's Recipe For Cinnamon Sugar Donuts

If you are ever in Seattle, there are two things you really must do. The first is to go up on the Space Needle (make sure it's a clear day) for a fantastic view of the city and the water. Stunning.

The second thing is to go to Pike Place Market, where they sell the most delicious tasting warm little cinnamon sugar donuts. You can see them being made right in front of you, and they are sold in small bags of a dozen, which you will eat the whole bag, trust me.

I love donuts, and I love the Barefoot Contessa, so when I came across her recipe for cinnamon sugar donuts, I had to make them. And wow, are these good!!

Little Caesars Pizza for Back to School and Giveaway #sponsored

Back to school is in full swing, the summer is fading giving way to colder nights, shorter days and of course there is football season. With the busy lives of families these days we all have our list of tasty quick and inexpensive dinner solutions. My family has Little Caesars on our grab and go list. Its tasty and so affordable, kids LOVE Pizza!

We know many families enjoy football games on tv and a great way to keep the kids entertained is by serving pizza during the game. My son can only be interested in a game for so long before he wants to watch cartoons but serve some pizza and bread sticks he is all about hanging out.

Bite Sized Candy Apples

Candy apples are a Halloween staple but to me they are always too hard to eat. I usually will turn one down because of how messy they can be, how hard it is to bite the apple without it becoming a total disaster and not to mention how sweet an entire candy apple can be. There is a solution, Bite Size Candy Apples! They are small enough to eat in one bite the mess factor is almost nothing. These would be great at home or for a party, I plan to make more and bring them to one of our October Fest Gatherings!

Ingredients:

6 green apples
1 package of caramel to melt
20 cake pop sticks (you can keep them tall or cut them in half)
A melon baller or anything that makes small scoops

Coffee It Forward with Seattle's Best Rubi Coffee Kiosk #shop #Rubi2Go

My day starts like most Moms. I have my to do list, my child and there never seems like there are enough hours in the day to get it all done. On my days off from work I try to get as many things done to be productive with my time. What fuels this tired working and blogging Mom is coffee! I would be a mess without it. Normally I start the day with a cup at home with my husband then I grab another cup of coffee from a drive-thru of some sort. I have tried the cheap convenience coffee and the high end coffee that cost way more than it should as well. I do prefer quality fresh ground coffee so I end up spending more money than I want to and time spent in line at a store or drive-thru.

Recently while shopping at Save Mart I noticed a Coffee Kiosk that was brewing Seattle's Best coffee. I pondered for a bit if coffee from a machine would be good. I can recall from my childhood old brown square shaped machines that black thick gross coffee would come out of and I thought this is 2013 I am sure it has improved! Knowing that Seattle's Best coffee is a high end coffee, I decided to try it.

My Fall Favorite, Apple Bread Pudding With Vanilla Ice Cream

Sometimes I think my favorite thing about fall is the desserts. I mean, who can resist all the apple, pumpkin, and other flavors of the season??

Not me, so yesterday while in the kitchen, I made one of my very favorite desserts, Apple Bread Pudding. I love making bread puddings of all kinds, and apple flavor is one of my grandchildren's favorites.

And of course, that vanilla bean ice cream on top of it is a little piece of heaven.
