Be a smart consumer when it comes to auto insurance
Lately I have been trying to come up with ways to save money in anyway I can. We are a one income family and I am ALWAYS on the hunt for a deal. It seems although the value of my house is not going up, and sometimes still going down, my property taxes are on the rise! It is always something isn't it?
One way to cut costs can be researching the right car insurance. Car insurance is a must in life (at least it is to my family) but at one point my little sister thought otherwise. My sister who was 17 years old at the time thought she couldn't afford car insurance. She was a student on a very small budget and thought not having car insurance would save her money. Well it did in the beginning she had no payments, well fast forward to about a year later and someone hit her car while it was parked! She was upset because the person left, without leaving a note or anything, she had no idea who had hit her poor car. So there she was with a dent in her car and nobody to pay for it. She had to decide if she wanted to pay out of her pocket or drive around with a big dent in the side of her car. It can be a tough choice on a small budget. She eventually saved the money and 9 months later she was able to fix her car. She was obviously upset and wished she had just sucked it up and made the payments for car insurance. One way to save is to look into cheap affordable car insurance to see how much you can really cut down your costs. There are ways out there to be able to cover your assets, you just have to do the research.

ErgoBaby Review and Giveaway - Road Trip
We knew we were going to be so busy on our Road Trip and always on the go, we knew a great baby carrier was a must! My preference for this trip was the carriers made by Ergobaby. It was so great knowing that while we were on the go we still were close to our little ones with our Ergobaby original baby carrier. Ergobaby was created and designed for mobility and comfort for the parent and child in mind. This allows parents to keep your baby close while bonding with your little one and continuing your life without limits.
Ashley and I waiting in the minivan for everyone else to get it together :) |
Even at the end of a long day and into the evening we were still smiling! |
The feeling and fit of the Original Carrier was great, my little one was snug as a bug the whole time whether she was awake soaking up all the fun or she was fast asleep while we enjoyed the sights on vacation. The Original Carrier was easy to snap, use and the neutral color of the Aussie Khaki "Outback" was a great choice so we could share the baby wearing duties. Not only did my 6 month old enjoy the ride, my 2 year old was just as happy to be toted around in the Ergobaby carrier. It can be worn in the front, back or hip position, and it supports babies up to 45 lbs. I wore it in the back like a backpack with my 2 year old son it in and life was good for both of us. Sometime strollers can be a hassle and many times too bulky, when you can "babywear" your little one it makes life a little easier. He loves to be close to us and to be held so this really left my hands free to do the many other things needed to be done throughout our time. Ergobaby also carriers a line of Carrier Accessories designed to make your baby carrying even easier and more convenient!
While the Ergobaby carriers are great for nice weather and vacations, I love the Lightweight Papoose Coat! This would really come in handy here in Washington and a few other places that get really cold as the weather changes.
Can't decide which Carrier you like best between the Original Carrier Collection, Sports Carrier Collection, Designer Collection , Organic Carrier Collection or any of the other Collections? Me either, they all have their purpose and would be a great choice!! I just loved our vacation and loved having Ergobaby along for the ride!!

DR. SEUSS’ THE LORAX Coming to Blu-Ray / DVD AUGUST 7, 2012
Plus Get Three Never-Before-Seen Mini Movies Available only on Blu-ray™ Combo Packs for the Ultimate Experience
So happy to have his copy of The Lorax |
I can recall reading the Lorax Dr. Seuss story a little from being a kid. It did not mean as much as it does now. This movie my son clapped and danced to all the fun songs. For me it was inspiring, moving, which is odd since its a cartoon. The message of the movie that we should take care of the other living things around us to have a happy healthy environment is wonderful. The message of one person who cares enough can change the world brings me to tears.
The ending of the movie will leave you smiling! This is a great film for the young and young at heart. You can visit the official Lorax Movie website to play games, tips on going green and so much more! You can get downloadable printables too.

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax transports
viewers into a fantastical landscape imagined by Dr. Seuss and vividly
brought to life by Chris Meledandri and his acclaimed filmmaking team at
Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me). Directed by Chris Renaud (Despicable Me) from a screenplay adapted by Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul (Despicable Me, HOP, Horton Hears a Who)
from the 1971 children’s classic, the film is an imaginative journey
that begins in the town of Thneedville, where a boy searches for the one
thing he knows will win the heart of his dream girl. But in order find
it, he must discover the story of the Lorax, the often grumpy but
loveable protector of Truffula Valley, in an exciting adventure filled
with comedy and heart that USA Today’s Claudia Puig calls, “The right
blend of funny, silly, and sweet.”
Danny DeVito (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” Twins, L.A. Confidential) lends his unmistakable voice to the Lorax, the remarkable creature who “speaks for the trees,” with Ed Helms (The Hangover, The Hangover Part II, “The Office”) as his enigmatic nemesis, the Once-ler. The all-star cast also includes Zac Efron (High School Musical, The Lucky One, 17 Again) as Ted, an idealistic 12-year-old searching for the Lorax; Grammy® Award winner Taylor Swift (Valentine’s Day) as Audrey, the girl of Ted’s dreams; Rob Riggle (The Hangover, Big Miracle) as the villainous O’Hare; Jenny Slate (Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, “SNL”) as Ted’s protective mother; and five-time Emmy® Award winner Betty White (The Proposal, “Hot in Cleveland”) as Ted’s wise Grammy Norma.

Water Babes
I love the summers in Washington. Most of the time. Some years are better and warmer than others, this year has been pretty good. We can't really complain. Not really hot but we have had some really beautiful warm days. Recently we went to a local park that is set on the beach, what a great way to spend the afternoon. We took our buckets down to the beach to collect rocks and shells, I really had no intention of the boys actually get in the water. I thought for sure the water was too cold, even for kids. I guess I was wrong. In a matter of moments they were both knee deep in the water with their shirts off frolicking, playing and collecting creatures.

Insurance. We all need it.
Are you noticing as life goes on and we grow older that things like Insurance; car, life or other are more and more important? Also have you noticed the older you get the more your car insurance goes down but your life insurance goes up? We are always trying to get the best rate and the best coverage with the right company. When researching car insurance there are so many things to take into account. I am one that wants all of the coverage but really need a lower deductible just in case something does happen and I have to pay out of pocket. I have been in a few accidents in my life and while most of them were not my fault, there was one time I was the one who was at fault. I rear ended a truck at a stop light. We were all ok and nobody was seriously hurt, but the front of my car was all smashed up and things were leaking all over the place. Because it was my fault, I was the one paying for the damages. The good news was that because I had been fully covered with the right insurance my deductible was very low, only $500 to completely fix my car. If I had not been properly insured the damages to my bank account would have been thousands of dollars. That is and was something that can cause hardship a hardship in life. Not to mention my insurance covered me in case there were any medical bills from either party. I was and am very grateful to have the coverage that I need at a price that I could afford. You never know when you may need it in life. There is a lot of information out there and it can be a lot to take in and you can feel like you are on information overload. The good news is the information is out there, click here for more information and facts. There are so many ways to save on insurance, your age, marital status and driving history are all things that can help you save money. I know that before I kids I never really worried about anything other than car insurance. While car insurance is important, there are so many other ways to protect your family, you should check out all options available and make the best choice for you and your family.
