Uncle Milton's Toys National Geographic Explorer Toys Review

Looking for something for the Science Kid in your family? Or have a child who likes to explore and learn while using imaginative play? If so you should check out Uncle Milton! Uncle Milton leads the science category with popular brands such as; Star Wars Science, Explore It, Back 2 Nature, Ant Farm, Dinosaur Train, In My Room, Horrible Pets and Tarantula Planet. Their newest line of products are from the National Geographic, which include things for your little explorer.

We were sent the 4-in-1 Explorer Navigation Tool and the High Sierra Eco Explorer to try out. JJ has really been into science lately, always asking about the earth and life. Also wanting to know what bugs and creatures are for and where they come from. Exploring in the dirt and yard for good finds!

The High Sierra Eco Explorer is cool (words from my son). It has a Headlamp (all kids love a headlamp), a magnifier, soil sifter, tweezers and a digging tool. He got straight to work outside! The tweezers are nice and big so he could maneuver them well. It was fun to collect things int the jar and show us his finds. FUN for sure!!

The 4-in-1 Explorer Navigation Tool is a compass, thermometer, whistle and signal mirror all in one!! It attaches right to your belt loop. JJ thought he was so big stuff walking around with the tool hanging from his pants. My husband has recently started going on hikes with our oldest, just him and JJ exploring nature. Not only has been fun for JJ to navigate their way in the woods and learn about reading a compass, my husband is getting a chance to teach him survival/life skills along the way.

The National Geographic line has more products similar to the ones we reviewed. We loved our National Geographic Explorer tools, these items will be great on our camping trips this summer! Along with the New National Geographic products they have a ton of great other fun things to check out at Uncle Milton's Toys!!

You can be a Facebook fan or Twitter follower of Uncle Milton's Toys for discounts and new product news.

Favorite Things My Gap Jean Jacket That Can Go Anywhere

I love my Gap jacket. What can you say about something that is so easy to dress up or down and is timeless? I'm taking a new look at my wardrobe and getting rid of things that no longer fit me or my life. Like most of us, I have far too many things that I don't wear or don't want anymore. So I'm spring cleaning my closet and donating what I no longer need.

Of course, I'm keeping my Gap jacket and I'll be wearing it a lot more now that the weather is getting warmer.

I remember when the Gap was just a tiny hole in the wall store filled with only jeans. Yes, I'm really dating myself by saying this but it's true! A few walls of jeans and that was it. How far they have come. Me too, I guess. Love my Gap jacket and it definitely remains one of my favorite things.

Let the Gardening Begin!

I have been waiting for the nights to not be so cold to buy any plants for the garden. I did pick up some new gloves, a little hand shovel and seeds but have not planted anything just yet. Today while we were out shopping I found two cherry tomato plants that I had to have. Its just not Easter unless we have veggies growing outside. Tomatoes are one of my favorite things to eat. I love them fresh from the vine with cracked pepper over them. So good!

This old chair is a DIY on my list. I want to re paint it and fix the seat with a hole in it to turn it into a planter for the back yard. I saw some cool ideas on Pinterest and its on my to do list. For now I will just sit these on here off the ground so the local cats dont get it.

I am going out in the morning to buy planters and some soil for these plants. I did not plan on buying anything just yet, but the gardening at my house has begun!

Feed Your Zoo At Home Family Movie Night

I love spending time with my grandsons. We decided to have a fun family movie night and watch the movie "We Bought A Zoo".

I went to Walmart to buy the movie and some pizzas for dinner. The movie looks like it will be a good one. I saw the trailer and it really made me want to watch it. This will be a fun night for them and I'm turning it into a little party for the boys.

I also bought some delicious Del Monte fruit cups to make a healthy treat for us to eat while we watch the movie. Of course I couldn't forget my own "big cat" so I got the kitty some yummy treats of her own. She's very picky but I think she will like these.

Here's all the little monkeys enjoying their pizza. They are excited to start watching the movie and eat the treat I am making them, but first they have to eat all their pizza.

We go to the zoo in Seattle all the time, so the boys are familiar with lions, tigers, and monkeys, which I'm assuming will be in the movie. They even like looking at the snakes and alligators at the zoo!

Who doesn't get messy when they eat their pizza, right? This little guy loves pizza.

I made a super simple, no cooking, treat for us to eat as we watch the movie. I just took a slice of pound cake and spooned on some vanilla yogurt. Then I drained the juice from the fruit cups and put them on top of the cake and yogurt. Super fast and easy! And it actually tasted really good. I'll definitely be eating this again. I really liked the Del Monte fruit cup of peaches with cinnamon and brown sugar.
Del Monte fruit cups are already a great price and First for Women magazine is featuring a $0.50-off coupon.

The boys loved their special treat. They didn't watch all the parts of the movie because it really was for older children. I liked it a lot and I thought it was really heartwarming. But when the animals came on the screen, that got their attention.

The lion really caught their attention. Mine, too! Such a beautiful animal. Even though the story line was too mature for the boys, it was still fun having our own little movie party.

My daughter Samantha really enjoyed watching the movie, she thought it was great. Ever since she had little Ashley, she and her husband have not gone to the movies, so this was nice for her too. The fruit cup treat was a hit all the way around!

This little girl is already an amazing actress. She practically steals every scene. Isn't she adorable? "We Bought A Zoo" is a warm and wonderful movie that I can't wait to watch again.

Last but not least is the kitty. We didn't forget about her! We opened up a tasty Meow Mix cat treat for her. Here she is looking up at the screen. Her favorite scenes were of course, the lions and tigers. She did eat her treat, as well as the second one.

There is a $4.00-off coupon that can be used to buy "We Bought A Zoo" with the purchase of any 2 participating Del Monte pet products. Del Monte pet products are being featured in Women's World magazine and Parade magazine.

We had a great dinner and a movie night with lots of fun. We'll have to do this again soon!

We had a fun and wild night watching We Bought a Zoo with the family and the cat! You can read my Google+ Story about my shopping trip to buy Del Monte Fruit Cups, Meow Mix and the movie.
