Have you heard of Be-Ecochic? They are an Eco Friendly Brand that makes totes, yoga bags, journals, decorative boxes, jewelry and more. We recently got a check out the Eco Ethics Leather Journal with an Ink Blot Leaf on the cover. I love the idea of "Going Green" and this journal is just that! I have been using the journal as a daily planner. A very nice gift for that Eco-minded person in your life.

Paper Scissors Rock Review and Giveaway

I have just discovered the most charming work of artist Pamela Corwin, the creator of her Paper Scissors Rock studio. Pamela creates original designs for her whimsical line of clocks, magnets, greeting cards and more.

I am lucky enough to be the owner of the Pike Place Market clock. It is a painting of the front of the market, and it is truly one of my favorite things. Besides keeping track of time for me, whenever I look at it, I am reminded of this very colorful and famous Seattle landmark. The clock looks like ceramic tile, but it is actually so light you can hang it on a push pin and you never have to worry about it breaking. All clocks come with a lifetime warranty on the movement and there are over 70 designs to choose from. If you are in the Seattle area, be sure to visit Pamela and check out her booth right inside the Pike Place Market. She can be found there amongst the other crafts people and all of the flower vendors, seven days a week. You can also visit her website and order any of her products on line. If you are looking for a wonderful gift or just a very special treasure for yourself, Pamela's artwork is truly lovely.

In addition to the giveaway we are hosting on our website, Paper Scissors Rock hosts monthy giveaways on their site as well. You can enter here. Be sure to come back and enter our giveaway too.

GIVEAWAY

Win a set of Magnets that are glass gem magnets that start with a tiny watercolor painting which is reduced to size and reproduced. The magnets are all handmade in the studio.

They use super strong ceramic magnets so they will stay on the fridge unlike most magnets of their size.

The gem magnets are 3/4" each and come in sets of seven in a gift tin with a clear lid.

Home Event AeroPress Coffee Maker Review and Giveaway

Coffee is a MUST have in my house. I am a zombie without it. It even helps keep my headaches in check that  I get since I suffer from migraines. If I have at least one cup a day it seems to keep them at bay. ON days when I feel a headache coming on I have some coffee after dinner. During the summer time I love to make ice coffee with flavored creamers. In the winter I love the holiday themed creamers too. I enjoy the whole aspect of coffee making. Making the coffee with the house filling up with the scent of the grinds, the way the coffee smells after I add sugar and creamer and the way a cup of coffee invites you to sit down, relax and enjoy the moment!

We drink a lot of Starbucks instant coffee, I could rave all day about the simplicity and flavor. But there are times when I want a specific coffee that is not instant especially when we have guest over. I was excited when I read about the AeroPress coffeemaker by Aerobie. I thought it was a great and easy way to make coffee quickly. The at home application is great but I also thought it would be awesome for road trips and camping.

The AeroPress makes an espresso-strength shot of coffee. You can then add hot water to the concentrate for an Americano or hot milk for a delicious latte. I loved how easy it was to use and clean up. Its simple and makes a good cup of coffee! I made an iced coffee too with my coffee from the AeroPress, cold milk, caramel, ice cubes and a shot of caramel flavor like the stuff Starbucks uses and oh it was so good!

Product Info from the site:

Home Event Pumpkin Spice New England Coffee Review

When I think of the fall my mind automatically goes to Pumpkin anything. I love pumpkin flavored anything, really I do. Pumpkin Cheesecake, yes please. Pumpkin Pie, yes please. Pumpkin seeds, yes again. When you combine coffee and pumpkin I am hooked. I love Coffee and I love Pumpkin. How can you go wrong? To kick off the fall season we brewed up some tasty Pumpkin Spice coffee from The New England Coffee Company. It was soooo good. What I loved about it was that the pumpkin was not an overwhelming smell or taste, it was just the right amount of pumpkin you could say. It was hot and flavorful, just what we need here in the Great Northwest. Don't you know we are already having to wear sweaters some days?

Can't you just smell the pumpkin coming from this bag?

Ummm I may have added a little bit of whip cream, just like I do on my pumpkin pie!

His and hers. He enjoyed it black and really said that it was a nice smooth taste. She loves all the bells and whistles. Soooo good....

Never heard of New England Coffee? Well here is a little background on them:

New England Coffee is owned by a third generation of the Kaloyanides and Dostou families and has been providing quality and service for over 90 years. Our beliefs in the highest standards of customer service and product quality have been passed on in the true tradition of family business. In the early years, we were located in a building at the corner of Milk and Broad Streets in Boston, where hand-roasted coffee was delivered by horse and wagon. Our first truck was purchased in 1918 and other family members started to join the business. In 1966, after outgrowing several homes in succession, we finally settled into our present location at 100 Charles Street in Malden, Massachusetts. Today we occupy five buildings and have hugely expanded our manufacturing and packaging capabilities. While we've grown to become New England's largest independent coffee roaster, our philosophy and goal are still the same - to buy and sell premium coffee and provide the best service possible. Our methods are not cutting edge. In fact, they're antiquated by most people's standards. And we wouldn't change a thing. It's the only way we know how to make sure that you'll always enjoy a consistently great cup of coffee. As fine coffee becomes more and more integral to the American way of life, we will continue to indulge you with our consistent tradition of good taste.

The New England Coffee Company's flavors include, Blueberry Cobbler, Chocolate Cappuccino, Cinnamon Hazelnut, French Vanilla, Hawaiian Macadamia Nut and Hazelnut Creme. They also offer dark roasts and light roasts, seasonal, Iced coffee as well as a variety of flavors in Decaf. I definitely recommend this coffee to anyone who loves a good cup of Joe! Check them out, with the holidays coming you can always give the gift of coffee. What coffee drinker wouldn't love that?

* I was not paid or compensated for this post. I was sent a free bag of coffee for my review by the company/PR company. The opinions are 100% mine and may vary from others.

Fall in Love with Home Event

Today starts our Fall In Love With Home event here at our blog Frugal Family Tree. We have been excited for this event to start to be able to share with everyone some of the great products we have reviewed and to share our stories of love and home. This is a celebration of many things for us here at Frugal Family Tree.

For one we all LOVE the Fall. The falling colorful leaves, the weather getting cooler and a bit of rain and knowing the holidays are just around the corner. The Fall is also a time to settle back into routines of the kids going to school, cleaning up of the summer items and settling back into being home sweet home more.

The Love theme of the event is in celebration of Liz's 10 year wedding anniversary and Sam's 11 year wedding anniversary. Funny enough Liz was married 1 year and 1 day after Sam! After you have been married for over a decade you have done the flowers, candies, romantic dates and all the other standard anniversary stuff. We are not saying those things aren't great but now that we have kids, run a household and are home more we want the house to be a place were we can relax and unwind.

The Home part of the theme is where the gifts come in. As Moms we want the house to be clean, functional and to look nice. With kids running around and life happening those things can go by the way side. But if our dear husbands would buy us stuff to make the cleaning and decorating go faster we would be happier to do these tasks. After all we all know a happy Mom is a happy Home!

So yes we have said it. We DO want a vacuum, a coffee maker, a mixer, a sewing machine, mops, brooms, small appliances and more! Oh and you can get us candy too, what woman does not want chocolate!

We hope you enjoy celebrating with us and enjoy reading the stories we will share about love and life. Of course there will also be GIVEAWAYS. Every party needs great presents!
