Operation Beautiful

Operation Beautiful is an idea a woman had to make people feel a little more beautiful in their own eyes and to remind us all to be positive people. This was perfect for me since my motto is "P for Positive!". I first read about this mission in Woman's Day magazine and now have found the official site, her twitter and facebook page. Here is a little info about her mission:

"Operation Beautiful is simple: all you need is a pen and a piece of paper. I’ve begun leaving positive messages on the mirrors of public restrooms — at work, at the gym, at the grocery store. I scribble down whatever comes to mind — “You are beautiful!” or “You are amazing just the way you are!”
"My goal is to leave as many Operation Beautiful notes as I can. Maybe some people read them and just smile, but I bet some people are truly touched by the effort of a random stranger."
-Caitlin Editor of Operation Beautiful

This would be a wonderful thing to show children to do as well. Just get your Post It notes ready and start leaving messages of positiveness where ever you go.

You can buy her book of the 125 most unique notes and tips on how to lead a happier healthier life. You can buy here book on Amazon or pick it up at Borders and Barnes & Noble.

Pretty Little Studio Flash Cards

My Vintage Baby Flash Cards from Pretty Little Studio have arrived! I ordered these flash cards when they were having a great sale. I posted about it here. I was so pleased with the customer service of the website. I had accidentally placed the wrong item in my cart and completed my order. I immediately noticed and emailed them requesting a different item for my order. They promptly emailed me back saying they would fix it and my order would arrive correctly and soon. I am very happy with how cute these little flash cards are. I have been using them with my baby. He smiles and tries to grab them of course but I have fun showing them to him. I may even use his initials to make a cute framed item for his room. You can order your very own set of flash cards here. They also have a lot of other cute items on their site like CalendarsPaper Dolls, and other scrap booking crafting items.

Sprout Organics Baby Food Review

Recently on another Mom blog I won a pack of Sprout Organics Baby Food. I was really excited to try this brand. The food is chef designed for flavor by the co-founder Chef Tyler Florence. I won 3 flavors, Roasted Apples, Roasted Pears, and Baked Sweet Potatoes.
My little guy usually likes apple stuff so I knew he would like the roasted apples and he ate the whole thing very quickly. Pears on the other hand he doesn't really like so I thought he might not enjoy them and I was right. He made funny faces and then spit it all back up only half way through the package. I tasted the pears and I thought they were great! He did enjoy the baked sweet potatoes when I mixed them with rice cereal. My little guy can be a picky eater sometimes but if I mix it with rice cereal he will eat anything!
Apples He Loves
Pears not so much!

Another thing I really love is the packaging that holds the baby food is BPA free. Overall these were very nice wholesome foods to try. I would recommend them for the taste and the fact that they are organic. I will definitely buy the roasted apples for him at the store since he loved them. My little guy LOVES bananas and I want him to try the Roasted Bananas too. You can find Sprout products at Whole Foods, Raley's, Publix, Harris Teeter and online at Amazon.

** I was not sent anything or compensated for this post. Just sharing my experience with a food I won in a blog contest.

GIVEAWAY: 100 Colorful Trifold Brochures for your Blog or Business

Brochures Printing Online has generously offered one of my readers 100 Colorful 8.5 x11 Trifold 100lb paper Brochures for your Blog or Business. I looked over the site before I decided to host this giveaway to see the potential benefit for my readers. I found so many ways as a Mom and business woman that I could benefit from this company's products.

I was impressed by their products for brochure printing and they have several well put together easy to use layouts for advertising your services. You select your layout, upload your photos, logos and text, then watch as it is designed for you to view and edit. I feel this would be a great way to advertising for a service you offer as a great way to make a bit of extra money from a skill you already have.

My first thought was that it would definitely be a great idea to make a brochure for the online blog you have to advertise your ability to do reviews, host giveaways, have a sponsor for your events, and to include your sites potential reach and audience. As well as including the other companies you have done work for and any awards you may have won. A nice professional item to have when you come across a potential business partner or to mail out to companies that you are interested in working with.

Another thought I had was that I know most of moms are working moms too. If not a full time job we have our own home business. If  it is real estate, volunteering for church, in home childcare, interior design, photography, website designing or a beauty service you may offer. There is a wonderful woman around the corner from our home that runs a beauty salon out of her garage to help make ends meet. There are so many services as moms we can offer to help pay the bills or save up for a vacation. Also our spouses or partners jobs in roofing, contracting, landscaping, being a handyman, or house painting that these brochures can be utilized to be a key in local advertising.

They have 8 different Christian church brochures to choose from to help bring people to your local church or outreach center. A great gift for church members to hand out to others. They have a few Non Profit brochures that would be perfect to help support a cause you are involved in.
