Sewing A Fun Fall Apron

Now that fall is officially just a few days away, I really feel like it's time to get in the kitchen and start cooking and baking more.

And of course, that means I need cute aprons to wear. My daughter Samantha is wearing this cute orange and white apron that I recently made.

There is just something about this apron that makes me happy every time I put it on. Maybe it's the sweet ruffled bottom, or the cheerful color. I love wearing aprons, and I love giving them as gifts, too.

This apron actually called for pockets on it, but I didn't like the style of them, so I left them off. The next time I make this apron, I'll add pockets of my own design.
The ruffle on the skirt makes it so much fun to wear, and I couldn't resist doing a few twirls around the kitchen in it.

This pattern is a Butterick See &Sew, pattern #5518. I really like buying these See & Sew patterns at Jo-Ann's Fabrics. This line of patterns are easy to sew, and are only $2.99, that's a big savings off of most patterns that you find in the pattern books.

This apron is perfect for all those pretty fall cotton prints that are out there right now.
This is an easy apron to sew, and perfect for the beginning sewer.

Have fun sewing!!
