eShakti Clothing Review Holiday Gift Guide

This Holiday Season I wanted to get everyone I know and love great things, but I also wanted a few things for my self :) I love clothes, shoes and purses so when I found out about eShakti I wanted to share it with you guys. Strange name right? In Sanskrit, Shakti means power and is pronounced e-Shuck-tee, but e-Shack-tee works, too! eShakti empowers you to choose the fit, color, size and style that suits you and they carry sizes 0-26W.. eShakti features Women's designer fashion clothes, like dresses, tops, sweaters and coats.

I have a slight obsession with jackets and coats, can you blame me, I wear one most of the time in living in Washington! Check out the beautiful jacket I got from eShakti to wear this winter and the next and the next. I would model it for you, but being 9 months pregnant I was not doing it any justice, trust me it looks cute on :)

You can see more of their Cardigans and Jackets here. There are lots of great items to see and great gift ideas for the Holidays.

Looking for a party dress this season? I like the Waterfall Dress, it also comes in BLACK!!

LinkOr a cute blouse to wear with your favorite pair of jeans? How about the Asymmetric pintucked ruffle panel front blouse, in Poppy Red? I love this top!

I'm confused by the eShakti reviews. They all end by saying "I was not paid or compensated for this post...." However, it seems the reviewer was in fact GIVEN an item to review. Is that true in your care? Were you given an item? I'm just trying to find a a review of this company that was don by someone who was NOT given a free item to review. As of yet I have found two such reviews, one pretty good and one was very, very bad.

Hello,
To address your question the disclosure at the bottom states we were not paid for the review but were given the item to review. We feel it is only fair to have the item to review to be able to give an honest review. I am sure as with all items out there some people like a company while others do not. If you are looking for a company review you might want to talk to the BBB. For a product review in most cases an item must be given in order for it to be reviewed.

Thank you for your response. I do appreciate it. I don't agree that "for a product review in most cases an item must be given..." as lots of people actually review things they have purchased themselves.

Nonetheless I really do appreciate your response. As I said, I'm just trying to find a review of this company from the perspective of a regular customer, not just of the product but the whole purchasing, customer service process.

Thanks again!

I just got the Birds Who Gossip dress yesterday.

Overall, i really like the dress. I ordered by my jean size, and the fit is perfect. The dress is fully lined, and seems very well constructed. The stitching seems tight and i think it will be a long lasting piece.

There are a few things about the dress them i'm apprehensive about. I wouldn't say i don't like them, but i don't love them yet.

The fabric is polyester, which feels a little cheap at first, but now its growing on me. I don't really think this is an issue because the dress is fully lined with a sturdy material, so i dont think its going to fall apart.

Some reviews of the dress said the neckline was a little low, so i ordered it with a "normal" neck line. I wish i would not have done this. Its a little to high for my taste, i'm only 25 so i don't want to look too buttoned up, but when i'm wearing the dress it looks OK. I make take this to my seamstress and have her lower it a bit.

Customer Service: as far as i can tell, customer service is kind of lacking by american standards. There isn't anywhere on their site (that i could find) to check the status of your order. With that being said, i did not have to try to contact customer service but they do seem responsive on their facebook page.

Shipping: I believe their website says stuff is shipped with in a few days and will arrive with in 12 days. My dress didnt ship until the 11th day, but i did actually receive it with in 14 days. Considering i ordered it very late in the day, i can't really complain about that. They are getting a lot of press recently so i'm sure they have been busy.

Overall, i would order from them again. Actually, i plan on it as soon as they dress i want next is in stock.
