Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone has a wonderful day filled with love and laughter. I want to thank everyone who reads my blog and I hope me sharing my little part of this big world will bring you joy.

This Christmas I am so thankful to have my son and have him to share the reason for the season, Jesus!

It is never too early to teach your children about the story of the nativity and about God's love for the world. I have memories of when I was 4 years old being taught about Christianity by my kindergarten teacher. I feel she is the one who planted the seed in me that later would help me to want to be baptized.
Even at 4 years old I knew that Jesus loved me and I kept a picture that my teacher gave to me and have kept it safe for over 25 years. We moved around a lot when I was a kid but I always kept my Jesus picture safe and sound. Now I want to share with you the picture I saved.

Merry Christmas!!!

Costume Discounters Toddler Elf Costume Review

Since my son was born a little over a year ago I have had him in many costumes. Sometimes its not even a holiday and I just find a cute one for him to wear. I love the smiles he gets and the little kids that come to say "HI" to him when hes dressed up. He loves the attention, waving to people and smiling so big.
For Christmas I knew he had to have a costume that would be as cute as his Baby Santa one his Nana and Papa sent him last year. I looked at kids costumes such as Santa costumes, a snowman costume and even a cute little Christmas Tree one. I did find the perfect one I wanted at Costume Discounters. I picked the Elf costume. I knew he would be adorable in it.

The Christmas Elf Costume for Toddler has the cutest hat the has elf ears and bells on it. My son LOVED the bells. He now likes to hold the hat and shake it even when he is not in his costume. I liked that the costume is so colorful and not too thick that he can wear his clothes underneath without being uncomfortable. When I first put it on him he smiled up at me from under his elf hat and my heart melted. He looks just adorable! I know for sure the pictures I took if him in it I will be entering in some kinda of photo contest. (If you know of one please let me know I wold love to enter him).

If your in need of a costume for a Christmas pageant they have great prices on shepards, angels and more. Right now if you buy an adult Santa costume you receive a FREE wig and beard set. I know a lot of Santas could use a new costume, I have seen some tattered ones out there!

They also have great Adult costumes too. I found so many great Christmas Costumes like the Buddy the Elf costume and showed my husband but he said no lol. I am grateful to him for being a trooper as I constantly dress up our son. We both know one day he will not want to wear the costume I pick out so for now I will dress up my little boy any chance I get. We are hoping to get his pictures taken at Sears or JcPennny's with some great coupons I have.
Overall I am so happy with the costume and I cannot wait to show him off in his little outfit at the Christmas parade we are hoping to attend. I wonder if they have a Cupid outfit for Valentines! That would be awesome!
If you would like to learn more about CostumeDiscounters.com you can check out their facebook and twitter.

** I was not paid for this post. I was sent one elf costume to review. All review post are my honest ipnion and may vary from others.

Applied Labels Review

For the review of the labels by Applied Labels I had my nephew use them to see how they held up to a child a bit older than mine. I selected the soccer ball character for his labels since he is into soccer right now. I liked that the labels are made in the USA and are free from harmful chemicals like BPA.

With daycare and play dates his stuff is constantly mixed up with other children and he has lost a few things to the "Its Mine!" from other children. Now that he has Applied Labels on his stuff we can rest assure he can now tell the other children something is his and can point to his label. He put them to the test in his shoes, his coat and on his indoor soccer ball.

They did stay on in his shoes after applying the shoe shields on top of the labels. At first we were all a little confused as to why there were blank and clear labels, but after reading the directions it all made sense. The labels looked cute in his coat and his coat even had a spot that said This Belongs To and we stuck the label right under it.  The labels are dishwasher and laundry safe so I know in the future we will add more labels to his clothing and cups. For fun we put the label on his soccer ball that we have in the house (its a lightweight soccer ball that wont break lamps and windows).
Overall the labels held up and worked good. I do wish the labels had more color and maybe more characters to select from. They have really good deals on label packs that any parent could use for labeling their kids stuff.

If you would like to keep up on sales info and other fun stuff from Applied Labels you can follow them on twitter and be a fan on facebook.

Baby Bond Flex Nursing Sash Review

As a nursing mother I am all about finding ways to nurse in public without making it obvious or offensive. I reviewed the Baby Bond Flex Nursing Sash. I tried the sash at my house while visiting with family in hopes to stay in the room and hold a conversation instead of leaving the room like I normally do when nursing. It was a little tricky at first to make sure that I was completely covered and my son was latched on because the sash seemed a little thin in width. I adjusted the sash on both sides and once that happened the sash felt comfortable and my son was very happy to nurse and still visit with family. I did find the sash to be a bit too revealing to use in crowded public places. The times when my son wasn't completely latched my breast was just kind of out there, for me I was not comfortable but I am sure other moms would find the sash comfortable.
I like that you get the same coverage with the Nursing Sash as the other covers that are so large they seem to emphasis the fact that you are nursing. I would recommend the Baby Bond to moms who are already comfortable with nursing in public. My favorite part was The Nursing Sash comes in a cute little matching tote along with a burp cloth!

If you would like more information about Baby Bond you can visit their twitter and facebook pages.

This review was written by a new reviewer who has join the Bee Hive and I appreciate her hard work in helping with reviews. More of her reviews, parenting stories and tips to come!

Tom's Of Maine Wicked FreshToothpaste Review

I am a huge mint fan. I know with mint you love it or hate it. This toothpaste definitely captures the bold fresh flavor of mint. My mouth felt so fresh and clean for hours afterwords.  I like that it is fresh but not sickening sweet and that they use natural oils to flavor the toothpaste. My teeth felt crisp in the morning and still clean as opposed to some toothpaste I have tried that leaves an icky sticky feeling in the morning. I would have to say its definitely a toothpaste to use before date night!!

Besides the fact that I love the flavor of the toothpaste Tom's of Maine is a great company. I have used their mouthwash for years but this is the first time I tried the toothpaste. I think sometimes we get so brand loyal we forget to try new and earth friendly products that can often be far superior than your regular brand. So I will now be buying this brand when I see a good sale and try to find coupons for it. Their products contain No artificial colors, flavors, fragrance or preservatives. They also never do animal testing! I encourage you to try their deodorant as well. It contains no aluminum like most brands of woman's deodorants. I could rave all day about Tom's of Maine!

For more info and often coupons you can follow them on twitter or be a fan on facebook.

EcoUsable Stainless Steel Water Bottle Review and Giveaway

One of the biggest small things we can do to help improve our planet is reduce our use of plastics. My husband and I have always recycled and try our best to avoid using small plastic water bottles. Sometimes I give in and buy a case of small waters just for convenience. I find myself feeling bad about the one time use of the bottle and the amount of energy needed just to recycle the plastic bottle. I have considered a stainless steel water bottle but for one reason or another I have never purchased one. It seems to be one of those I will buy it next time items but it should be on the top of your list of eco friendly items to buy.

I was very delighted with the quality of the BPA free stainless steel bottles we were sent to review from EcoUsable. The bottles are vibrantly colored and they have several designs to choose from. I have reviewed other bottles that leave a funny taste in the water but the EcoUsable bottles leave no taste in the water. I like that they have a variety if sizes available for different members of the family. The bottles hold cold to warm liquids like milk, water or juice. I have been using the bigger water bottle to store water for his bottles when we are on the go. I just stick it in his diaper bag along with his smaller school bus design 10 oz bottle filled with juice and we are prepared to not be dehydrated on our adventure.

Bottles We Reviewed

Overall we loved our stainless steel water bottles and I can feel better knowing we are doing a small part to not add to the over consumption of plastics in our environment and look cool doing it! Living in the California heat I look forward to using these bottles over and over this upcoming summer. I loved the eco-school bus design for my son and I also would love to have the Wally the Whale ( this is just like his book and I so need to get him this bottle) and the Doodle design for kids in the 10 oz size.

You can find EcoUsable water bottles and their other products at Whole Food Markets, Safeway and Nugget supermarkets.

Happy Baby products have been on my radar since I was pregnant. I oddly have not tried any of their products but I will soon in the future. (Check back soon for a giveaway of Happy Baby Product coupons)

Fresh Baby So Easy Toddler Cookbook Review and Giveaway

I am a huge fan of entering blog contest as a way of finding new products to try and products I can give family and friends to try. I have entered many giveaways to win a Fresh Baby So Easy Baby Food Kit, I never won a set but I did learn about a great new company. Since my son is no longer a little baby he does not need puree so I thought the So Easy Toddler Cookbook would be perfect for him. The book is filled with so many great recipes, colorful photos and feeding tips. I loved the smoothies, my son loved the breakfast burritos and his favorite the rice and broccoli casserole. He seems to favor savory over sweet, I am grateful for it I just have to learn I might be the only smoothie fan in the house.

I had fun making the recipes because I tried to include my son. I put him in his feeding chair and let him watch what I was doing and I let him try the individual ingredients before I made any finished items. We had a great time exploring new flavors and textures.

I know for me I was a bit puzzled as to where do I start with introducing my son tasty and healthy food now that he is no longer a jar food baby. Of course I know the dos and don'ts of feeding I just wanted a go to cookbook that I could reference anytime. I know in the future I will change and add to recipes as I see my son's likes and dislikes develop. I definitely would recommend this cookbook for a new mom to have a guideline of recipes to start with or a mom who just wants new ideas.

In honor of my son's 1st birthday Fresh Baby has agreed to send one of my lucky readers the So Easy Toddler Food Cookbook.

Tasty Brand Review and Giveaway

Recently I won I facebook contest sponsored by Tasty Brand and I won 4 boxes of their fruit snacks. I was surprised at how tasty they were, it made me laugh since its the brand name. We pulled off tiny little bits for my son to try and he loved them too. Their fruit snacks are organic, fat free, gluten free, made with real fruit juice and no high fructose corn syrup. We all agree that Super Fruit is our favorite fruit snack. I would also love to try their Cereal bars. The pumpkin pie flavored ones sound so yummy! I love that their foods are organic and their snacks are a much healthier option than most snacks on the market. Plus its a mom founded company and I try my best to support mom based companies as often as I can. I do have to add that the fruit snacks are for children 2 and older so I only let my son tasty tiny bits and the fruit snacks should not be given whole to a child who is under that age, just wanted to add that for safety =)

Now that I am a fan of Tasty brand I wanted to be able to give one of my lucky readers the chance to try their great products. They make organic baby cereals, baby foods, fruit snacks and cereal bars. Their frozen baby food line would be great for any mom who is busy to be able to still give your child healthy organic food that is convenient to serve.

You can find Tasty Brand in your local Whole Foods and Kroger. Online at Amazon and diapers.com.

In honor of my son's 1st birthday Tasty Brand has agreed to send one of my lucky readers 2 Free Product coupons to redeem at your local store.

1st Birthday Bash 10 Days of Giveaways Day 10: Feeding Time

I have always had a love for feeding ducks at the park. I love how eagerly they gobble it all up and give you a confirming quack to ask for more. Now with my son I have the sweetest little bird who loves to eat the variety of foods I introduce to him. He is the cutest little guy as he tries new foods and even gives me a loud "GA GA" with enthusiasm when he really likes something. He loves anything with sweet potatoes or green beans in it but he cannot survive and that alone. Thankfully I have found several great products along the way as I have tried to find foods I was happy to give my son and he was happy to eat. I hope you enjoy the great products I have tried and always try to be on the look out for new and nutritious foods to enjoy with your kids. Do you know of a great product or recipe you would like to share?

1st Birthday Bash 10 Days of Giveaways Day 9: Coupons and Freebies

It just wouldn't be a Coupon Queen Bee birthday event without talking about the great coupons and freebies a child can get for their birthday. I signed up to several birthday clubs for places we often shop or eat. I was a little disappointed that the majority of the Gift Cards companies issued were actually coupons I had to print from my computer. I do not currently have ink so sadly I could not use most of the birthday discounts offered to me.  A few places I signed up to are Kmart, Fuddruckers, Toys R Us, and Barnes & Nobel. Hopefully next year we will have more ink!
Here are a few blogs with long list of birthday freebies and coupons:
