Baya Chic Bags and Accessories Review

When it comes to diaper bags I have owned quiet a few in my day. I feel like because I don't take a purse when I am carrying a diaper bag that it is very important for the diaper bag to have all of the essentials. It needs to be large enough to hold baby things, snacks for the boys, and my personal items, but also I don't want to feel like I am carrying a suitcase everywhere. I found a really great Diaper Bag from Baya Chic Bags and Accessories that is perfect for me!

The Chelsea Collection Shoulder Bag Flower Black & White is beautiful and just the right size for this busy Mom. It has several pockets and the bottom expands to create more room for all your things. One of my very favorite things about this Chic Diaper Bag is that the bag is lined on the outside with a plastic covering. Living in Washington where it rains all the time, this is a great feature. I don't have to worry about everything in my bag getting wet, not to mention the bag itself! The Chelsea Bag also has a 3 piece Accessory Set that comes with a changing mat, an insulated bottle holder, a little bag for your personal items or baby wipes, a matching wallet.I am finding this Diaper Bag is perfect with Baby L and JJ's needing things while we are on the go too. I am using the expandable bottom for snacks, cars, juice boxes or extra socks. It separates things making my life much easier as an on-the-go Mama!

Here is a little info from their web site about the Diaper Bag-
• Includes a changing pad
• multiple pockets inside
• separate bottom compartment for extra storage
• Dimensions: 16L x 7W x 13H
• We offer personalization too!

There are many other styles to Shop from. Their Limited Edition Diaper Bags are beautiful, along with their Picture Frames.

My Hillshire Farms Gourmet Creations Sausage Recipe #GourmetCreations

I must admit I am not always the best cook. I have never had to really cook until my son was born. My husband and I would eat whatever and whenever we wanted for the last 10 years. Now that my little guy has turned into a picky eater I have to try new things to impress him. He is the type of kid that one night will love something and then then next time he will not eat it. This has made me into a new foods seeker. I always try to find new food for him to try. Luckily he loves meat and veggies.

For the last two years since my son was born I like to make a special meal each time there is a holiday. My mom always made awesome food for the holidays and I want to do that for my son too. We are celebrating Halloween this weekend so I decide to make a fall inspired dish using fall veggies!

Hillshire Farms sausages has been something I have eaten since I was a little kid.  Polska Kiebasa was a staple in my moms recipe book. We ate it with many different sides. And I loved it every time! Recently I found that Hillshire Farms came out with a New variation of sausage called Gourmet Creations. Gourmet Creations has No Artificial Colors or Flavors and No By-Products.

My son and I along with a family friend took a trip to Walmart to get the items we needed to create a fall inspired sausage pasta dish. I found the new Hillshire Farms Gourmet Creations Sausage. They had 3 varieties to select from, Beef and Jalapeno with Monterey Jack Cheese,  Chicken and Apple with Gouda Cheese and the one I selected for my dish, Sweet Italian Style with Peppers and Mozzarella Cheese.

Hillshire Farms #GourmetCreations

I love the Fall theme decor at my local Walmart

Everything I need for my dish. Hillshire Sausage, butternut squash, asparagus, olive oil, pasta and alfredo sauce.

We also grabbed some sweet treats!
When we got home I started to make my Gourmet Creations dish. My plan was to make a filling fall pasta dish with sausage and roasted veggies.

Ingredients:
1 Pack Hillshire Farms Gourmet Creations Sweet Italian Sausage
1 box of Bow Tie Pasta 12oz
1 jar of Alfredo sauce 16 oz
3/4 cup of Butternut Squash
1/2 cup of  Asparagus
3 teaspoons of Olive Oil for roasting

I first put on water to boil while I chopped, coated in olive oil and seasoned with pepper and a dash of salt the Butternut Squash and Asparagus. Then I put the veggies in the oven to roast, added the pasta to the boiling water and cut the sausage links into discs. I wanted to brown the Sweet Italian sausage to bring out the full flavor of it.

It looks like Halloween with the orange and green veggies!

After the pasta was done and draining I warmed up the Alfredo sauce. To assemble my dish I put the pasta in a large bowl then added the heated alfredo sauce. Next I added the cooked sausage and roasted vegetables.

I served myself and my son a bowl of my Hillshire Farms Gourmet Creation recipe. I call it Roasted Vegetable Italian Sausage Alfredo. It was sooooo good! The smell of the dish filled the whole house and made it feel like Fall. This dish is a filling dish for any day of the week. The sausage is sweet and a tad spicy with the sweetness of the squash and the asparagus levels out the sweet flavor and the alfredo brings it all together.

I would love to try the other flavors of Hillshire Farms Gourmet Creations with my son.

My #JudyMoodySleepover Movie Party

Last weekend I hosted a Judy Moody Sleepover party to celebrate the DVD release of Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer. We had so much fun! I decorated the house, made dinner of pizza and hot dogs and dessert of ice cream. I made the kids each a goodie bag with a cool backpack, sleep mask, mood rings and lots of candy.

After we all ate dinner it was time to watch the movie. We were all very excited to see this movie, adults included! Having small children we all don't make it to the movies as often as we would like so watching a movie at home on DVD is perfect. Before the movie started I handed out the goodie bags and gave the activity booklet that came with the DVD to the oldest child that attend so she could count along the points that Judy was making in the movie. It was a cute idea to keep the kids and parent engaged.

The movie was cute. I think it is perfect for kids ages 7 to 11. It had kid friendly action such as Judy walking a log tight rope, Judy playing on the beach and many more fun activities that had points for the tally we were keeping. The party got a little wild at times, the kids were having a blast! There were balloon fights, dancing times and lots of candy being eaten. We had fun watching the kids feel like this was their night to be free and enjoy themselves. And if things were wild enough after the movie I decide to let them all have ice cream!!

I thought the movie was fun even for adults. Its sweet to see how Judy over comes her obstacles and ends up having a great summer! All the adults laughed when we saw Urkle was the school teacher. Of course our kids have no clue who he is but I thought it was funny. After the movie the kids got out their Halloween costumes they had purchased before arriving to the party. After a few hours of running around having fun the kids all got in their pjs, grabbed their pillow pets and happy nappers and fell fast asleep.

Overall we had a great time and it was a blast to host a movie party!

You can read my other post about how we Planned for our Judy Moody Sleepover Party a few days before the party.

* I was not paid for this post. I was sent a gift pack to host this party that included a DVD, party supplies and a gift card. All opinions in this post are mine and may vary from your experience.
