Recap of DreamWorks How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular

JJ so excited to be here, you can tell by the GIANT grin on his face!!

Of coarse there were plenty of souvenirs, the boys got these light up toys. The light shot out of Toothless the Dragon!

The opening scene.

No flash photography but I did get some pretty good shots. This is where Hiccup and Toothless are learning to trust each other.

JJ  and I enjoying the show.

JJ, Liam and the Hubby in awe of the flying dragons all over!!

The giant dragon in the middle of this picture was HUGE. And there is Hiccup and Toothless flying to get away.

A shot as we were leaving the Tacoma Dome.

DreamWorks How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular was amazing!! I really was in awe of it all as we watched this story unfold right there on the stage. Everything from the dragons, the cast, the lights, the music, the storyline, it was all just magical. Some of our favorite parts were the underwater scene, the fire shooting out of the sidelines, when Hiccup was riding Toothless as they flew, and the giant dragon they defeated!

We took all three kids ages 6rs y, 2.5 yrs and an 11 month old. I was worried that the little ones would squirm and want to get up out of their seats or be scared of all of the fire breathing dragons. But I am not kidding you, they sat the ENTIRE time watching the story unfold. There were no tears, no meltdowns or anything. We could not believe that they would sit there and take it all in, the show was really that good. At first my 2.5 year old held on tight and looked at me for reassurance but after a bit none of it scared or bothered him. He really did love the Dragons. It was a great show and if you have the chance I recommend you go and take your family. This is a great performance your family will love!

Hammacher Schlemmer Review

Are you looking for that special gift for that special someone? If so I have just the place for you. Hammacher Schlemmer has great gifts for everyone on your Christmas and Holiday List. They have been in business for 164 years! There is so much to chose from that I know you will have no problem finding the perfect gift. Whether you are looking for Electronics, Things for the Home, Toys, for Travel, Holiday and more

For Christmas this year I really wanted and needed a new coffee maker. Along with a few must haves for my new coffee maker, I wanted something that would freshly brew the beans in the morning without me having to get out the grinder and then transferring it to the coffee maker. I am barely functioning at that hour and the easier the better.  The Perfect Portion Grind and Brew Coffee Maker is seriously the perfect coffee maker. This coffee pot does just that but you can also use pre-ground coffee as well, I love that feature for a back up . Another great feature that I like is that included is a double-walled stainless steel thermal carafe. It is not hot to the touch when the little ones are grabbing at the counter top and it keeps your coffee hot for hours. We program it at night with the beans waiting to be grind, dropped in and brewed to perfection. And you can make single cups of coffee as well! Is it ok to love you coffee pot? Because I do! They carry other great coffee pots you can find here in the Kitchen & Entertaining section.

Here is a bit about the Coffee Maker from their site-
This is the only grind-and-brew coffee maker that automatically brews one to 12 cups with the flavor profile and intensity you choose. Simply select the number of cups, choose from the five flavor profiles (light to bold), and select one of the 7 coffee strengths; the machine automatically grinds the perfect amount of coffee and dispenses the proper amount of water to brew coffee to the chosen specifications. The unit eliminates the guesswork of combining the correct proportions of coffee and water and brews directly into a cup, a travel mug up to 7 1/2" H, or the included double-walled stainless steel thermal carafe. The integrated burr grinder produces an even grind to help ensure optimal flavor extraction and grinds the beans just before brewing to maximize freshness. The coffee maker is programmable up to 24 hours in advance to ensure coffee is ready when you wake up. Includes a reusable filter. Also brews pre-ground coffee. 16 1/4" H x 14" W x 9" D. (17 3/4 lbs.)

I was also looking for something beautiful and lightweight to carry my e-reader (and future iPad) in.  The iPad Leather Backpack was a great choice. It is durable has a padded internal pocket for my e-reader and a separate main compartment that fits files, paper pads, my wallet and magazines and anything else I might need on my day trip. I can strap my Backpack on and be on my way, very convenient. Not to mention the tan leather looks amazing, just what I was looking for this year!

Here is a bit about the Backpack from their site-
This is the leather backpack with a padded internal pocket designed especially to hold an iPad or e-reader. Made from top-grain Colombian vachetta leather with natural variations in pigment and texture, the backpack's protective pocket is large enough to hold an iPad even when cradled in a case. It has a separate main compartment that fits files, paper pads and magazines, and a side pocket that is slightly larger than typical phone pockets to hold the most up-to-date mobile devices. An outer pocket accommodates power cords, wallets and other essentials, and the straps are adjustable for maximum comfort while still carrying electronics securely against the back. The interior is lined in nylon. Durable antiqued hardware. Tan or Black. 15" H x 12" W x 6" D. (2 lbs.)

A few other great gift ideas are The Wireless Smartphone Photo Printer The Best Blender, The Thomas The Tank Engine Holiday TrainThe Infant Sleep Inducing Lamb and so much more. You can search by categories such as Electronics, Apparel, Home, Outdoor, Personal Care, Sports & Leisure, Toys, Travel, Holiday and Special Values. I know that you will find that special something for that special someone on your Holiday List.
