KinderGlo Review and Giveaway

One of the products I knew would benefit my son in sleeping would be a night light. I did not want just a standard plug in or one that sits on a dresser top. I wanted something fun and also useful. I searched all over the internet trying to find the perfect one and was excited when I found KinderGlo from another mom's recommendation.

I love this nightlight for so many reasons I do not know where to start! First they are so cute and yet cool! My son LOVED the Moose. They have many designs to choose from, including Angel, Bear, Elephant, Hippo, Owl, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurs and the two new designs Quarter Moon and Moose. My son and I had the privilege to review the Quarter Moon and Moose. The quality of the product is amazing. There is a softness to the plastic that I find wonderful since my son seems to bonk his head sometimes on hard plastic toys. Thankfully they are durable too since he throws everything he gets his hands on. I love that this product will never get hot to the touch and I can safely let him hold it while he gets sleepy watching the light show. Since we had two KinderGlo lights at times I would set them both on the dresser and start them at different times creating a amazing little light show. The lights seemed to soothe he quickly, I can see his eyes get heavy when he watches them, its so cute. He loved to hold the ring of the Moon and hold onto the antlers of the Moose, he wouldn't let me take it from him so Moose went on a few car trips and to a few grocery stores. A few moms asked me what the toy was and I was thrilled to show them how cool it was that it is a portable night light! Although my little guy did seem to get a little annoyed other people were messing with his Moose lol.

Now that we have this light I cannot ever imagine not having it. He gets sleepy watching it and yet he can also play with it and hold it when he is awake and playing. I know we will have this light for many years and he will be able to use it to find his way around in the dark when hes older. I recommend this light for a great gift for a child of any age.

KinderGlo is very easy to use. Just one button push to set up Auto Fade after 30 minutes or Continuous On as well as select between a light show or a constant one color on. The KinderGlo also requires NO batteries. It is rechargeable with a base and plug in charger included. We used the KinderGlo over and over the past few days and have not recharged it yet. Another great feature about the KinderGlo is that it is B.P.A. Free and Lead Free.

You can buy KinderGlo portable light online for $24.95. Right now KinderGlo is offering my readers a $3 off Discount code when you use the code KGMUWIYG at Amazon.com code valid until 12/31/2010.

In honor of my son's 1st birthday KinderGlo has agreed to send one of my lucky readers winners choice of the Quarter Moon or an Elephant (retail value $24.95).

1st Birthday Bash 10 Days of Giveaways Day 2: Bedtime

My little guy has always been a short sleeper. He would love to take mini naps all day but never for a long period. This tends to leave him cranky and me unable to get much done while he naps. I have tried a few products that have helped my son sleep a little longer for a nap and some products he giggled and danced to, which did wear him out and aid in making him sleep a little longer. Overall I know he will find his own sleep pattern that works for him and in the mean time I will enjoy that he is a little guy and is still figuring things out.

I read a lot of online tips and advise from magazines and other moms and if you would like to read a few articles on sleeping and 1 year old you can find them at Parents.com and Babycenter.com.

Kiddo Tags Review and Giveaway

Now that we plan on being On the Go more often I am sure we will be seeing more children and playing more often. With that in mind I knew I would need a good set of labels for his sippy cup, bottle, toys and coat. I would not want to mix up something he drinks out of with another child so labels are a little way of making it easier to spot what item is his and which isn't in a group setting. Plus for me I think its cute and fun way to personalize his stuff. I was given the opportunity to review Kiddo Tags and  Dwink cup and I am so glad I tried them. I was able to select from 12 different back ground colors and over 50 adorable characters for my label. I selected orange back ground with a crab. I was surprised how cute it turned out. The Dwink cup is great too. My little guy is just now learning to use a straw and the Dwink cup makes it so he cannot squeeze out all the contents. The labels held on in the dishwasher and maintained their color and vibrancy after many washes.

Kiddo Tags makes many useful tags like shoe dots, pacifier dots, iron ons and many more. I love using quality tags for labeling my son's books, the crab is just so cute! You can see all their products on their website here.

In honor of my son's 1st Birthday Kiddo Tags has agreed to send one of my lucky readers a set of mini tags and a dwink cup like I reviewed.

Buddy Fruits Review and Giveaway

When we are out on the go sometimes my son will not take a bottle but he is still hungry and fussy. I have been trying  a few brands of food and have found a great on the go solution for feeding him fruit. My son is a very picky eater when it comes to fruit so I was surprised when he loved all the flavors of the Buddy Fruits I fed to him. He gladly ate them without me having to mix it with cereal or oatmeal. I feel like I have found a new use for the fruit pouches while we were out at the mall. I used a spoon and I squeezed a small amount of the fruit onto his spoon and feed it to him. This made for no spills and an easy clean up. Unlike most on the go foods I have used I usually have to toss out the remaining food since using the spoon directly in the food from his mouth contaminates it. I just put the lid back on and stored it in our little cooler bag for later. I had to taste them since they smell so wonderful fruity, I can see why my son loves them its very sweet and flavorful. The health benefits of fruit are already well known and each Buddy Fruit pouch is equal to one serving of fruit. This makes it easier for me to make sure he is getting at least one serving a day when he has one.

Some other great facts about Buddy Fruits are:
NO preservatives
NO colorings
NO additives
NO fat
NO genetic modification
NO artificial flavorings
NO dairy or gluten
NOthing artificial
ONLY few calories
ONLY fruit and nothing else!

Buddy Fruits are available in Strawberry,  Banana, and Multi Fruit.

In honor of my son's 1st Birthday Buddy Fruits has agreed to send one of my lucky readers a set of Buddy Fruits (18 pouches).

The First Years Gray Dusk Jet Stroller Review and Giveaway

Day One of my birthday bash is about being "On The Go". Now that my son is a year old I feel like we are going to be able to go more places and do more when we are there. The park will be more interactive, shopping trips filled with more excitement and just a general feeling of discovery all around us. With each new adventure there will  be fun and joy mixed in with melt downs and mishaps but with the help of the right items a parent can be more prepared to deal with it all.

The first thing I thought of when I wanted something to make being on the go easier was a lighter more convenient stroller. Our current stroller is bulky and heavy making outings a bit hard having to pull the stroller in and out of our truck over and over. I thought I would never find an umbrella stroller I would like. To me they were too short and did not seem sturdy enough for me. After having the opportunity to review The First Years Gray Dusk Jet Stroller I am certain that this stroller is the solution for most moms that need a lighter stroller.

Right out of the box I knew the stroller was much taller than most strollers like it and has a sturdiness to it I can trust. This stroller is lightweight only weighing 11 pounds. My son is a wiggle worm and I have always worried he would find a way out of or to tip an umbrella stroller but with this one he was harness strapped in and he could not get the stroller moving around when he was in it. At first as always with my guy he was mad to be harnessed in but after a few minutes of strolling around the house in it he was fine. He even fell asleep in it a few times while we were out and about.

The canopy is very easy to take on and off and here in California it is a must have on an umbrella stroller to keep the sun off my son's face. The basket is big enough for a small diaper bag and your purse with additional side pockets on each side of the stroller for things such as gloves, spare socks, binkies, snacks, and wipes. My favorite part was the multifunctional parent console. It has a place for drinks, a zip pouch and compartments to place things like your keys or coupons in.

Overall I loved this stroller, my husband enjoyed pushing it since it was tall and looked sleek, and my son loves to hold onto the sides of the stroller as a pushed him all around when we were out on the go.

In honor of my son's 1st birthday The First Years has agreed to send one of my lucky readers the same Gray Dusk Jet Stroller (retail value $39.99) that I reviewed for this post.
