My Reading Tip made it on the List for Vtech and I WON!

I had to share my excitement for winning a Vtech reader! I entered at A Mom's Balancing Act, one of my favorite blogs to read and enter giveaways, and my comment on how to encourage kids to read was posted on the list of tips and I won! I am so excited and the inspiration for my tip was the great indoor tents my mom would make us in the house to have adventures in. Here is my tip that won on the Vtech contest.

"Make reading exciting with indoor “campouts.” Use sheets and chairs to help your kids make tents, pile blankets and pillows inside, and bring snacks and a stack of books. Reading with a flashlight will add novelty to the activity."

I would love to win these but if I don't (dare I say that!) I would love to buy the lolly pops and make a cake for them to go on for my little guys birthday! Its not for a few months but this would be a great idea. He LOVES Sesame Street!
