#ad Help End Hunger With Tyson and Champions For Kids Know Hunger Project

I am a member of the Collective Bias® and Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias and it's advertiser.

I am thrilled to be participating in the Tyson and Champions for Kids Know Hunger project with a food donation in my local community.

Tyson Foods has partnered with Champions for Kids to create the Summer of Giving, where every time you buy a specially marked Tyson product, Tyson will donate a meal for a child in need.

In an effort to help create awareness of hunger, Tyson created the Know Hunger project.
The project is designed to encourage people to KNOW the scope of hunger in their own communities and get involved in relief efforts, so someday there will be NO hunger in our country.

I purchased Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken to create a meal of chicken tacos for my family, and to make a donation of a dinner to a mom in our community. This mom and her kids are going through some rough times, and I knew she would welcome a home cooked meal. We also gave a package of Tyson chicken nuggets that the kids could eat later.

My grandson Jayden came along with me to make the donation, and I know it did his heart good to help others.

Hunger is something that many of us are fortunate enough not to have to go through. But of course, many children go to bed hungry each night. And 1 in 4 Americans is worried about having enough money to put food on the table in the next year.

By buying specially marked Tyson product packages, you can help in the fight again childhood hunger. This is such an easy way to help out, and provide delicious tasting meals for your own family at the same time.

I purchased my Tyson chicken products at my local Walmart. Through the Know Hunger project, Walmart has promised to feed 5 million kids this summer.

I always love cooking with Tyson's Grilled & Ready Chicken. The chicken is already cooked and frozen with delicious flavors, and it's super easy to just pop it in the pan.

Tacos are one of my family's favorite meals, so I make them pretty often. And it feels great that when I purchase Tyson products, I am helping to fight hunger.
#CollectiveBias

I really enjoyed making my family these chicken tacos for dinner. But even more so, I enjoyed making them and donating them to a family in need.

It doesn't take a whole lot sometimes to make a difference in other people's lives. But sometimes we aren't truly aware of the needs that exist, even in our own communities. Community involvement is often the first step.

Thanks to Tyson and Champions for Kids, the Know Hunger project helps make us all aware of the pressing needs of feeding others in our own communities, and nation wide.

Please make this your #SummerofGiving by purchasing the specially marked packages of Tyson products.

You can also look for the Summer Of Giving display board at your local Walmart.

Thank you!!

#ad Be a Hunger Hero with Tyson Chicken and Sam's Club #HungerHeroes #Cbias

Stopping childhood hunger is an issue I am strongly behind. In our country with such abundance there should never be children that do not have enough food to eat. We donate food all year long to donation drop offs and a local transitional housing program for families. We take the time to do so and would hope if we were ever in need others would do the same.

We recently learned about how Tyson Chicken and Sam's Club has teamed up with Champions for Kids to make donating a meal as easy as buying a product we already purchase through the Be a Hunger Hero project. We attended a Tyson Chicken Nuggets demo at Sam's Club to learn more about the Buy a Bag Give a Meal project. The sample station guy was very informative telling us about the coloring pages and how if we had the kids color them and upload them to the Club Tyson Facebook page a meal would be donated.

While at Sam's Club we found the Tyson Hunger Heroes demo that we learned about on the Tyson Hunger Relief website. Tyson Chicken will donate a meal (4 oz of meat) for each bag of 5 lb. Tyson Chicken Nuggets purchased at Sam's Club from now until Aug. 31, 2013. Online we read about the Hunger Heroes project and found where and what time Sam's Club near us would be holding the demo event. The next Hunger Heroes demos will be on Aug. 29, 30 and 31 from 11-2 at a Sam's Club near you.

When I told my son we were going to be Hunger Heroes at Sam's Club he wanted to wear his super hero cape to the store. He sampled many of the Chicken Nuggets, I told him he already likes them but he insisted he needed to have just one more to try. He was excited that we were going to have coloring pages to share with his friends to color. I enjoy opportunities like this to share with my son about donating to others. Something fun like being a Hunger Hero is a perfect way to share with him that we are giving food to kids in need by buying Chicken Nuggets. He a little guy but he does understand what donating means.

Here is a short clip about the Tyson Chicken Hunger Heroes project:

After talking to the demo guy at Sam's Club and getting the other items we needed for a fun dinner at the pool we headed home to cook our nuggets. I planned to take dinner down to our local pool for my son and his friends to eat. I wanted to share with the kids and parents about the Tyson Buy a Bag Give a Meal project.

My son wanted to continue to be a Hunger Hero at the pool so he wore a tshirt that had Elmo as a super hero and a yellow cape on it. His cape was a great conversation starter about the Hunger Heroes project. Many people already buy Tyson Chicken nuggets and I wanted to inform them that if they buy it at Sam;s Club before Aug. 31, 2013 a meal ( 4 oz. of meat) would be donated to kids in need.

I told all the kids about the Hunger Heroes and how if we colored some of the pages and I uploaded them that a meal would be donated from Tyson Chicken to kids in need. The kids were happy to color the pages once they knew that kids in need would be helped. They all did a great job on the coloring. I wish I had more pages for the other kids that wanted to color when they learned why we were doing it. I love how kids when informed are willing to help out.

We had a wonderful time at the pool being Hunger Heroes while we shared food and fun with our friends. I even over heard one of the kids tell my son not to waste his dinner since some kids do not have enough food to eat. It was so sweet to hear that they really do listen and care. I hope that your family will attend a Sam's Club demo to buy a bag of Tyson Chicken and help donate a meal through Champions for Kids. Anyone can be a Hunger Hero!

You can learn more about Tyson Chicken on Facebook and Twitter. See my shopping trip to Sam's Club in my Google+ story and how my little guy wearing his cape helped others to learn about being a Hunger Hero.

Breakfast for Dinner with Tyson Bacon Breakfast Bread Bowls

In my house we eat Breakfast items more at dinner time than for breakfast. My son likes to eat a big meal at night more so than in the morning. I am more of a light breakfast eater too, except on weekends we do often have a big breakfast. We eat eggs and pancakes or biscuits with gravy and eggs for dinner all the time.

The last few months its been getting more difficult to get my son to eat eggs. I tried breakfast sandwiches but he just pulls out the eggs and wont eat it. I was thrilled when I saw that Tyson Bacon Breakfast Bread Bowls had eggs in them. Its a great combo of eggs, bacon, cheese and bread. I am a huge fan of anything in a bread bowl so I was eager to try them.

On the box it said Microwavable but since we dont have one ( I have not owned a microwave in about 10 years!) I figured I could just make them in the oven. I was surprised it did not have recommended oven instructions on the packaging. I placed them on a pan with foil and wrapped it up. They turned out great and a bit toasted, just how I like my breads and biscuits. The smell of the bacon filled the kitchen while they were cooking, it was great! #TysonBreakfast

While I waited for my Bacon Breakfast Bread Bowls to cook I stayed busy clipping coupons. When the Bread Bowls were almost done I took out my new favorite cooking item my new toaster. I have been toasting like crazy with it! My son liked waffles with his eggs and bacon and I like a bagel with cream cheese. When I make Breakfast for Dinner I usually make eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles or pancakes and for me always a bagel with cream cheese. I always serve a fruit and a glass of juice to go with it.

The Tyson Bacon Breakfast Bread Bowls were good. My son liked them a lot. He told me Yummy! The combo of bacon, cheese and eggs were something I think any kid would eat. My son can be picky but these were one thing that was perfect for him to grab and eat. He could not pick at it or take it apart so he just started to eat it. It was great to see him enjoy something with eggs in it.

The perfect Breakfast for dinner. Simple and taste great. #TysonBreakfast

I liked that the Tyson Bacon Breakfast Bread bowls were easy to heat up. No mess in the kitchen and my son could grab them and eat them. I will be having my mother in law try these too. She saw the box on the counter and asked about them. I hope soon Sam's Club will have these for a taste test so everyone can try them!

Getting him to sit down to enjoy a meal was harder than any of the meal cooking lol

Bacon, Cheese, Eggs and Bread perfect combo!

Did I find Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls? Shopping Sam's Club

I have been a Sam's Club member for about 8 years. I love to get great deals and the sample days are super fun. Since having my son I have found my membership even more valuable to save money. My son has turned out to be a finicky eater, he is just like me when I was little. He likes food to be a certain way and he likes savory food.  We went shopping at Sam's Club this week in search of a new product. We were looking for Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls.

The one thing I like to have for breakfast, even when its breakfast for dinner is a good juice to go with it. My son does not like plain Orange Juice since its too tart for him. But he does like SunnyD. I picked up a bottle while we were there. He loves and I mean loves bacon! When he saw it in the Breakfast section he ran over and tried to grab some out of the case.

I shop the Frozen Breakfast section all the time for my family. We are the kind of people who eat breakfast items at anytime of the day. Having a convenient way to serve breakfast always makes things easier. Sam's Club carries many great products for Breakfast. They have sweet and savor, pancakes, waffles, sandwiches and even Cinnabon! My son is a savory breakfast food eater. I try waffles, pancakes and more and he does not like them. He will eat fruit if I serve it along side some bacon so its a battle that I am learning to take the good with the not as good. I like French Toast sticks and often eat them for dessert too. I used to purchase the breakfast sandwiches until my son decided it was funner to take them apart and throw them.

#TysonBreakfast

While looking at the great selection of Frozen Breakfast items at Sam's Club I spotted an item I thought was not yet in California stores. I was delighted to see the new Tyson Bacon Breakfast Bread Bowl. They are a bread bowl filled with Eggs, Bacon and Cheese. I love food in a bread bowl! This is a great idea, especially for my son. I try to get him to eat eggs but he can be picky about it. I think in a combo like this and it having cheese and bacon he will eat it. I look forward to trying these next week. We purchase Tyson products weekly. My husband loves the Boneless Skinless chicken for salads and entrees, my son loves the Fun Nuggets and Anytizers and I love all of it! #TysonBreakfast

After finding the Tyson Bacon Breakfast Bowls at my Sam's Club I thanked a manager for carrying them and my son and I continued to look around the store. I love to be a looky loo in there and see all the cool stuff. We checked out and then headed to the car to go get some Sam's Club gas.

On the way out of our Sam's Club I saw a display set up to donate money for M.S. research and we donated. The door greeter at my store was super nice as she cheeked our receipt and drew a smiley face on it. Next week I will be trying the Tyson Bacon Breakfast Bread bowls with my family as we enjoy Breakfast for Dinner. I cant wait to share my thoughts on it with everyone.
