This is a #throwback from 2013 of one of our favorite #shops we have done with #CollectiveBias

My favorite season is fall, and here, the leaves are already beginning to turn gold.

I'm very excited about the fall baking that I will be doing, and making favorite fall recipes and discovering new ones, too.

I love making fall treats for family and friends. I'm a grandmother to four little ones, and they love it when I make or bake something delicious just for them.

This weekend I could feel fall in the air, so I decided to make candy apples with Candy Corn flavored M&M's, and some delicious Mott's hot apple cider.

I went shopping at Walmart to buy the new fall packaged M&M's. They come in four flavors, including Peanut, Peanut Butter, Milk Chocolate, and the flavor I bought, Candy Corn.

I have made candy apples with M&M's before, and they are always a hit. They are great for fall activities where a treat is needed, and the perfect cute spin on giving an apple to your child's teacher.

Candy apples are easy to make, and it's fun to find different ingredients to make the outside coating taste delicious.

Candy corn is something we always have on hand in the fall, so I knew the Candy Corn flavored M&M's would be great to roll the caramel apples in. I just used my mini Magic Bullet to chop the M&M's, dipped the apples in the melted caramel, and then rolled them in the candy.

I really love giving candy apples as an unexpected little gift, or a thank you. I almost feel guilty for how little effort it took to make them, when the receiver is so happy to get them.

These were a huge hit this weekend with my kids and grandkids, so I'll try the other flavors of the fall M&M's too, especially the peanut kind.

I also made some hot apple cider this weekend, and we sat outside on the deck with it in the evening. This could be the last time we will be doing that, as the evenings are getting quite chilly.

I like making my apple cider with a bit of a citrus twist, by adding orange juice and lemon juice to the Mott's apple juice. This recipe can be doubled or tripled for a larger group, and not only do the adults love it, but the kids do to.

And your kitchen will smell deliciously like cinnamon and spices.

I've been buying the Mott's brand of apple juice for years, and gave it to my children, and now to my grandchildren.

It's the base of this great tasting apple cider with a twist. I like heating a cup of this cider in the microwave for myself in the afternoon or evening.

For me, nothing says fall like apple cider. It's so easy to make your own, and it tastes so much better than the bottled kind.

I love how cute these apples came out, and my daughter thought they would make sweet gifts for the teachers on Back To School Night.

White Chocolate Fudge & M&M’s® Captain America Superheroes Shield Recipe

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

Superheroes have fully taken over my house! My son is all about the superheroes in movies we watch. He has toys, towels, clothing, shoes, the list goes on of all the hero themed items we own. I must admit that I love every moment of it! I am a super hero fan Mom. My favorite is to sit down and watch a movie with him while eating movie snacks.  I have let him watch a few of the older marvel movies and now all the cool ones coming out those as well. We love Captain America with his cool outfit and save the day hero attitude. We are looking forward to watching on DVD Captain America: The Winter Soldier while we eat one of our top favorite movie snack M&M’s®.

My son has been asking for a Captain America shield to go with his other Captain America toys so we decided to head to Walmart to check out the toys while we shopped for dessert. I have been waiting all summer for September to arrive so I can make my favorite dessert ever, fudge! I am making a "winter" theme fudge to celebrate Captain America 2 The Winter Soldier available now on Blu-ray and DVD. To keep in theme with my son getting a shield toy to complete his hero look I plan to make the white chocolate fudge shaped into mini shields and decorated with M&M’s® to look like the Captain America pattern. Of course the Mom in me wanted to add a bit of a healthy kick to a sweet treat so I bought dried blueberries and dried cranberries to add to the red and blue theme of our dessert. We found so many M&M’s®  it was hard to decide which ones to get. There are so many varieties they have their own shelf!

I had to get myself a Captain America shirt to match my son of course!

I am excited to be making the first official batch of fudge for the season. I enjoy making themed fudge to celebrate fun things in life. Fudge is a tradition in my family that my Mom started. Anytime I make fudge I always try to make it just like hers in the flavors and texture. Good fudge is amazingly delicious and you only need a small amount to enjoy it. The perfect indulgence for a movie night at home.

Add dried blueberries and dried cranberries to white chocolate fudge recipe

1/2 cup dried cranberries

Line rectangular pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides. Bring sugar, butter and evaporated milk to full rolling boil in 3-qt. saucepan on medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook 4 min. stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

Add white chocolate chips and marshmallow creme, stir until melted. Add dried cranberries, dried blueberries  and vanilla; mix well. Pour mixture into pan evenly coating the bottom of pan. Let fudge cool completely before cutting into circles with cookie cutter. Organize the party size M&M’s® to separate the red and blue M&M’s®  from the other colors. Have A Merry Christmas With M&Ms and Forza Motorsport 5 #FueledbyMM #shop #cbias

Christmas is less than two weeks away, and I'm proud of myself for having already gotten most of my shopping done. There's a rumor going around in my family that Santa just might be bringing us an Xbox One this year. Wouldn't that be fun?

So I decided that it must be true, that Santa will deliver that highly coveted Xbox One to our house, and I will make it even merrier by buying the Forza Motorsport 5 game to go with it.

I got a little crafty when I wrapped the game, and I know my family will get some laughs when they see how I decorated the package. It's perfect for under the tree, and I love that it's a little tease of the Xbox One that they all want.

I went to Walmart to look for Forza  Motorsport 5 and I was relieved to see they had some in stock. I know this is a very popular game, and I wanted to be able to make sure I had one on Christmas morning.

Plus, Walmart has an easy way to get a $10 eGift Card when you buy this game and a qualifying bag of M&Ms.

We love M&Ms, so a snack and video games is a favorite way my family likes to spent time during the holidays. The 'kids' that love playing the video games in our family are mostly in their 20s and 30s now, but they pretty much revert to being ten year olds, and have a lot of fun together.
