Red Envelope Gifts for Her "Mom" Necklace Review

Being a Mom is everything I imagined it would be. The joys, the smiles, the happy times and the other side with tantrums, frustrations and a small person saying Mom, Ma, Mama, Mommy a thousand times a day. Its a proud thing to be, someones Mom. I love to talk about my son to everyone! At work I talk about him all the time and of course am that annoying Mom that shows pictures and says how my kid is the most amazing kid ever. Its normal! I also want little items that I can wear like jewelry to say I am a Mom and proud. Much more subtle and stylish than a big tshirt right lol.

I found the perfect Mother's Day present for me. I found a simple and elegant necklace at Red Envelope that says Mom in nine languages. Its a perfect gift for any Mom. I have gotten many compliments on my necklace and people asking me where I bought it. I like to share the unique items at Red Envelope. I see many items I will be adding to my must have list.

Product info:
An homage to motherhood, our languages of mom necklace celebrates the linguistic thread that unites mothers and children throughout the world. Engraved around the pendant within and without are the words for “Mother, Mom or Ma” in nine different languages and scripts. The geometric form of the pendant is known as a mobius strip and represents infinity, an appropriate and symbolic form for this universal sound of love and affection. Exclusively from RedEnvelope.

Not On The High Street Sarah Hickey Bracelet Review

I love going to a website that lets me shop for everything I want and things that I didn't know I wanted, all in one place. Not On The High Street is just such a place, and it offers charming and reasonably priced gift items that you will love having for yourself, and giving to family and friends.

From jewelry to housewares, lovely wedding gifts to sweet clothing for kids, you will find something you love at Not On The High Street. Started as a small venture in England in 2006, the company now offers over 50,000 products., from carefully curated British artisans. When you order a product, you are placed in the hands of the small business that has created your item and ships it right to your doorstep. Products can be shipped to many different countries, in a safe and timely manner.

I spent a long time on their website looking for jewelry that I would love for years to come. I don't wear a lot of jewelry, so each piece I own has to be special and unique. There is a very large and beautiful selection of necklaces, bracelets, rings and more to choose from. Many can be personalized for special meaning with engraving.

I chose The Pearl and Crystal Bracelet from Sarah Hickey Jewellery.  It is made with sterling silver woven with fresh water pearls, and double wrapped with shimmering crystal quartz and moonstone.

I love that it is casual enough for day wear, and dresses up a sweater and jeans beautifully. Worn at night, it can easily be the the only piece of jewelry you need to shine. Needless to say, I am very happy with my choice of bracelet, and am interested in finding more of Sarah's pieces that she makes by hand in her studio.

As we start thinking about holiday shopping, I recommend you go to Not On The High Street and see all the wonderful products that are available.
I would love to order some personalized jewelry for my daughters for Christmas. The selection is wonderful, and comes in all price ranges. There are also beautiful gifts for weddings, new babies, birthdays and more, many that can be personalized to your choosing.

To read more about Not On The High Street, and to see their complete collection of products go to notonthehighstreet.com. You can also visit them on their facebook page.

Father's Day Gift Idea Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Video Game Review

For Father's Day my husband has a few wants. Video games, a new grill and to relax.  I can get two of the three in one by getting him video games. We are big gamers in my house. We spend the evenings after our son has gone to bed to play the big kid (aka my husband) games. We dont often play shooter gun play games so we were curious to review the game play and story line of the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Solider game. We have several game consoles and this game we reviewed on our XBOX 360.

Game Info from Ubisoft:

"In the escalating political climate of the near future—where strategies on the battlefield must be delicately balanced with maneuvers at the negotiating table—a new breed of soldier has arisen. Trained to be better than the best and outfitted with the most comprehensive array of high-tech gear ever assembled, the future soldier stands apart by his ability to remain undetected. He slips unseen behind enemy lines. He uses the perfect combination of diplomacy and force to achieve his objectives while remaining politically invisible. He is a Ghost."

Soldier games can be fun for adults to play. Remember this is NOT a kids game. Its rated M for Mature. Perfect for my husband to be able to have fun playing by himself or with friends. There is great team work game play and the missions are exciting. He liked that the game is a 3rd person shooter. It makes it easier to play than a 1st person shooter game. Missions often involve taking down a strategical target or rescuing a VIP. What makes this game a bit different than a typical shoot and rescue game is the open environments give you the freedom to achieve the objectives how you want but of course are best played stealthy.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is a very tactical 3rd person shooter game. The game is all about using cover, tactics like smokes, flashes to surprise and ambush enemies and take objectives. Simply running and shooting everything will result in your fellow players not making it but its great to be able to try it either way. My husband realized quickly its best to be stealthy in this game. My husband said the story line was a little long to follow but thats just because we dont have as much time as we use to for Mature games. It is a game that you can pick up and play then put down without much loss of the feel of the game. Some games we have played you feel like you have to get the hang of it again each time you play.

The AI in the game is a better than some of the games he has played. He said your team helps you with intel, cover and play as a team according to what your doing. Overall its a fun military style game for men to play. Not one for the kids to see but thats what the rating system is made for.

A great gift for the Dad in your life that enjoys shooter military style games.

You can find the game on sale at Best Buy , Walmart and other game retailers.
