Nostalgia Electrics Retro Kettle Popcorn Maker Review and Giveaway Holiday Gift Guide

Since I am a huge popcorn fan I had to find a way to have more of it at home. I love to get it at the movies and at my favorite popcorn store in the mall but when I am at home I needed a way to have great fresh popped popcorn anytime I want it. Some people may know that I do not own a microwave, its not because I cannot afford one, its because I refuse to own one. I do not want my food nuked and for it take take an instant. I want to enjoy the process of cooking and for me I feel its safer not to own one. Even if you do have a microwave, the popcorn that comes out of there is no comparisons to fresh popped popcorn.

When I was looking for a at home popcorn maker I found Nostalgia Electrics to have some of the coolest looking popcorn machines for a reasonable price. They make smaller ones to the big cart size ones for all your popcorn popping needs. Plus they make all sorts of cool snow cone machines, cotton candy makers, ice cream machines and soooo much more! Any of their cool products would make a great gift.

Having a cool Retro Kettle Popcorn Maker just makes having popcorn so much more fun. You can have it plain or even add all sorts of awesome toppings to it. I love to toss some plain M&M's into a bowl of fresh popcorn, so good!

When I first used the Retro Kettle Popcorn Maker I must admit I burned the first batch! I did not tilt the basket correctly into place and the kettle rotating arm did not turn. Note, read instructions all the way lol! But the second batch was awesome! I loved the sound of the kernels popping and my son was yelling Oh WOW as the popcorn was popping out of the kettle and into the machine. The way fresh popcorn smells is amazing! Next week we are planning to pop some popcorn and thread it onto some cotton string to decorate the trees for the birds for Christmas. I remember doing this as a kid with my siblings when I lived in Washington. I want to create those fun memories for my son and with bags of popcorn kernels being so inexpensive it makes it easy to have lots of popcorn fun!

Since we love to watch movies at least a few nights a week, I know our Popcorn Maker will be getting plenty of use. I am hosting a Mommy party at my house next week and I will be handing out lots of popcorn for our movie. I look forward to all the fun ideas I have to make with popcorn too. I have always wanted to make caramel popcorn balls for the holidays.
